"We didn't have one, no." There was rarely electricity. It didn't make sense. But he feels as if he needs to correct a bit of a misconception.

"Right, okay. It's pretty simple, but we'll start with the stove/oven. It's probably different from what you'e used to, anyway."

Most of it is, so she walks him through the basics of the appliances and how to use them. "Washing machine and all are downstairs in the basement, and now that I have your sizes, we can order you some clothes."

Blue is a very small child, and is used to looking up at people, but the man in front of her was enormous, even bigger than Jesse Dittley. She felt a small pain at his loss at the sight of Randal, but shook it off to go introduce herself.

"Hello, I'm Blue Sargent."

She offered out her teeny tiny hand.

It's not rare for him to have to deal with kids; he'd spent most of his childhood looking after younger siblings, the one thing that he seemed to be any good at even in District Zero. When she walks over, he hunches down not to tower over her and offers his hand.

"Hello, Blue. My name is Randel."

Richard was wandering along what he mentally called his "patrol", when he saw a man curling up for the night under Knight's Bridge. He jogged over and leaned in to whisper.

"Mate, you really don't want to kip here for the night. Come with me."

He held out his hand.

"Right now."

He looks up with a blink, coming awake immediately at the tone that Richard's using before frowning and nodding as he gets up, grabs his bag, and nods.

There are better places to sleep.

[ Map attached. The little place it leads to is easily accessible from Shades Darker. The apartment is a small space, austere but arranged with an eye for Spartan comfort. It's warm, with a catflap and space for animals, with bowls and shelves for spare cat food. The walls aren't especially thick, but sturdy, and this isn't near anyone in particular. ]

[ He follows the map, uses the key, and when he walks in, he's not quite sure what to do about this all. It's a very nice gift, but he doesn't need it, and the funds that would go to paying for it should go into his nest egg for the rest of Section III and his family (when they wake up). But for the time being, he'll use it, going out every day to try and find the man who'd sat with him the other day, who he knows is the one who gave him the space. He needs to give it back, let him know that he will be all right, or perhaps explain that he deserves no comfort, no kindness, that could go to other, better people.]

Randel's waiting for her, as mentioned, and he waves back the same way before nodding at the thank you.

"Of course. Quentin had a good idea. I don't have many skills, but I'm happy to show people this one."

[She's not been checking the network, as of late. Too tired for piqued interest in any schemes or shenanigans, too wary of seeing that video again to risk even seeing anything good until time enough has passed it won't be easily stumbled across. The same has largely gone for out-loud announcements. Everything is on a back burner, that she might focus on - nothing, particularly. Who to give her dog to, in the near future.

But there's no missing the file. And even through the current haze, she understood how she would go about this - with anyone - from barely her second week on board. Thus, the message.]

Hey, so we're - if you didn't see it yet, we're paired. [Which really, really would have sounded elated at any other time. Still likely will, once she's had a day or two to adjust, and thus initial hurdle is cleared.] Which means I've got your file, here.

Reading it makes a lot more sense than not reading it, so I'm doing that. If you'd rather be here while I did that, to talk through something, answer questions, anything like that, you could come over. Or I could come over. Either or.

There are plenty of opens seats available, but Juno takes one right across from where Randel is eating. He hadn't responded to the man's question on the network - he didn't feel like he had anything really to offer, there - but it had piqued his curiosity. Enough to make him a little nosy, at least.

"Meatloaf not doing it for you?" He's gesturing to the plate full of greens.

He startles a little, mostly because he hasn't talked to Juno in some time, and no one's mentioned anything about his food for even longer. He looks down at his plate then over at Juno and offers an easy enough smile. It is, at least, a simple thing to answer.

"No," and it's a simple answer. "I don't eat meat. I don't like it."

A pause.

"Is that a problem?"

Hey, would you feel up to a day or two of camping? I'm asking a couple of quieter people, I think some time to decompress someplace pretty and quiet would do all of us good. Found a pretty tract of land, dug around for a horse that'll carry you - or a wagon if you're not up to riding. Figure it could be fun?

I would like that. Whether or not there's a horse I can ride. I'd be just fine being in a wagon or walking.

In the Enclosure, or are we stopping somewhere again?
