"Fuck war," Juno says mildly. "We've had our own - nothing like that." No soldiers, built to fight tanks. "Not that it's worth much, but I'm sorry you had to go through that."
"Everyone had to go through it," he says back, because it's the truth. The war touched everyone, even the ones that people didn't realize it might touch. How it touched them was the real crux of the matter.
